In general, a body lift procedure can last 3 to 4 hours, depending on the number of treatment areas and goals of the patient. The surgery will start with administration of general anesthesia. Incisions will then be created. Depending on the surgical plan, excess fat may be removed and underlying tissues may be tightened. Excess loose skin will also be removed, and the remaining skin will be tightened. The incisions will be closed using sutures, and bandages will be applied.
