Dr. Prescott’s Background

Dr. Prescott was born into an American military family stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Her family later moved to Florida where she received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Florida International University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed her medical school education and general surgery training at The University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Prescott then proudly served our nation for four years as an active-duty general surgeon in the United States Air Force. While serving, Dr. Prescott worked in Japan, southeast Asia, Washington DC, and deployed to the middle east as a damage control general surgeon. She earned an Air Force Commendation Medal for her service during Operating Inherent Resolve and has served on three US presidential support missions.

After fulfilling her active-duty military service, Dr. Prescott completed three additional years of training at the internationally renowned University of Pittsburgh Department of Plastic Surgery, one of the top plastic surgery programs in the country.

Dr. Prescott moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 2021 to work alongside renowned local surgeon Dr. Joseph Banis. She purchased the practice from Dr. Banis a year before his retirement in 2025, ushering in a new era under the transition to Prescott Plastic Surgery and Med Spa. Under her leadership, the Louisville plastic surgery clinic continues the legacy of excellence for which Dr. Banis is known, while bringing a fresh perspective, feminine insight, and a touch of elegance.
