The areola and nipple are repositioned to a higher, more aesthetically pleasing location. If you desire a smaller areola, excess areolar skin can be removed at this time as well. The remaining breast skin is then carefully brought together and tightened to support the new shape. Liposuction is often used to optimize breast and under arm contour.
Lastly, Dr. Prescott meticulously closes the incisions with absorbable sutures. The entire procedure typically takes two to three hours.
