Face Procedures

Brow lifts are normally performed in the outpatient setting with incisions blended within the hairline, which minimizes scarring. It can be done as a solo procedure, or in conjunction with facelift, eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty), or other facial work.
Benefits of a Brow Lift
- Minimizes visible signs of aging like drooping eyebrows, “hooding” over the eyes, forehead furrows, and frown lines
- Results in more alert and rested appearance
- Minimal pain
- Minimal downtime
- Natural, non-surgical appearance
- Decreases size of large forehead
The Brow Lift Procedure
There are several options for brow lift surgery that involve the use of different techniques and approaches. Brow lift procedures can last one to three hours. The procedure will start by administering anesthesia. Once the patient is comfortable, targeted incisions will be created. For a coronal brow lift, a single long incision is made behind the hairline. For an endoscopic (or minimally invasive) brow lift, three to five much shorter incisions are made. Excess fat, skin, and muscle tissues may be altered, trimmed, or removed. After the necessary adjustments have been made, the incisions will be closed using medical stitches, clips, or surgical tape. The brow area will be bandaged to complete the brow lift procedure. A third technique is the pre-trichial brow lift with an incision hidden in the hairline, which also may be used to shorten a long forehead, or advance one’s hairline forward.

Will there be visible scars after a brow lift?
Brow lift techniques are designed to minimize visible scarring. Incisions are typically placed within the hairline or in natural creases, making them difficult to detect once healed. Over time, any scars usually fade significantly and are well-concealed.
How long do the results of a brow lift last?
A brow lift provides long-lasting results, often maintaining a more youthful and lifted appearance for many years. While the natural aging process continues, patients typically enjoy a smoother forehead and elevated brow position well into the future, especially when maintaining a healthy lifestyle and skincare routine.
