How the Procedure Works
Your breast augmentation procedure will begin with the administration of general anesthesia to ensure your comfort. Once you are fully sedated, Dr. Prescott will make a carefully placed incision in one of several possible locations (such as under the breast, around the areola, or under-arm), depending on your anatomy and desired results.
Next, she will create a pocket either above or below the pectoral muscle to position the implant. She then inserts the chosen implant and adjusts it to achieve optimal symmetry and proportion. Finally, the incisions are closed with sutures, and surgical dressings are applied to support the healing process.
